Free Story by Leigh Ellwood for Download

It doesn't matter if I am a featured author or a reader at a con, I always come away from an event knowing more about the industry. This year at AAD, I sort of came to a few realizations. For one, perhaps I need to tighten my focus. I write everything because nobody told me I couldn't, and sometimes a story calls for a specific pairing. I shall spend my fall thinking about what I want to do with the rest of my career. Until then, I plan to finish a few works in progress before consulting a clean slate.

I had originally planned to set up a short series, like a serial, spurring from a story I wrote for Coming Together. "...And Lily Makes Three" is M/F erotica, written for Through the Storm. To be honest, halfway into the second story I didn't like the direction of the characters and arc. I hate to excise words, but sometimes it is necessary, and in this case I made the difficult decision of leaving the first story in its revised form. Also, because it is under 7,000 words I have made it a free download.

Get ...And Lily Makes Three free at AllRomance.com and Smashwords. There are no plans to upload elsewhere, because it's truly a pain to make something permafree on certain retailers. ARe and Smashwords are easiest in this regard, and I am feeling generous after AAD. Please note this is an erotic work with an HFN ending. If you see if for sale anywhere please let me know. I thought I’d have a little summer sale for readers. First it was going to be only the first book reduced, but then I have the fourth book in edits now, and have offered the first one on sale many times, but never the second or third. So in conjunction with the  Sizzlin' Summer Book Bash with Master Koda Select Publishing. I lowered all three of them.

Desert of the Damned by Kathy Kulig

The book I'm now 14% done with - according to Kindle - is a little bit of everything. It's part paranormal, part romantic suspense, part erotica. At first I was confused. The characters having sex in the opening chapter are probably not going to end up together. Then there was the abrupt shift to a skin-walker and his grandfather, and a near-battle scene in the next chapter. To say I wasn't sure where this was going would be an understatement.

But I think the clouds are starting to lift...

I am going to keep going and see if this ends up where I think it will. There are two possibilities in my mind. Shhh! If you've read it, don't tell me. I'm hoping to finish this by Sunday.
